The proposed renovation of the Aberdeen Train Station includes the design of a new pedestrian overpass and the redesign of the existing train station, parking lot, wrought iron gateways and signage. The aesthetic designs for the new overpass include a rounded tunnel infrastructure that incorporates vibrant and colorful designs on the interior. The aesthetic designs for the existing infrastructure integrate custom amenities, such as light-filled piers and modern signage, to rejuvenate the old site. Site-specific components such as metal cutouts of traveling pedestrians are integrated into the railings to enliven otherwise plain and utilitarian infrastructure.
