PROJECT INFO

This unique 2,200 square foot FŌTERA® resin terrazzo floor installation covers the entire floor of the entrance to the Great Hall at the History Colorado Center in Denver, CO. The 234 pre-cast full color FŌTERA® concrete terrazzo tiles, created with a dimensional tolerance of 7/1000”, resolve into a topographical map of Colorado at 1:400 scale when viewed from the upper levels of the building. Radio-Frequency ID tags embedded into the floor allow for a myriad of interactivity between the art and the people who travel across it including discovery of historical, cultural, and environmental facts about the State of Colorado.
